I received a commission in 2018 to create some artwork for The Job Centre, Southampton based on

the city's trades and industries, past and present.

I created a series of six hand-painted posters each one depicting a different trade or industry. I wanted to emphasise the maritime connections of the city so created each image within a porthole.

I chose bold, vibrant, striking colours for this series

and linked them with a running zig-zag line to

represent the heartbeat of Southampton
