This two pence piece forms part of the 'The Wishing Tree' project, my submission for the Summer Show 2018 at Solent University, Southampton.

The piece is 40 cm diameter

and laser cut on wood.

It is a much magnified version of an original 1971 coin and, following digital enhancement, shows each individual dent and mark acquired over the passage of time. Each one with its own story to tell.

'The Wishing Tree' will be on permanent display at The Job Centre, Southampton as part of an ongoing  commission.
